The game strictly uses the arrow keys, Z and X

A few notes, you have to press z on water to go fishing

X opens the menu

Make sure to save!

You cannot swim through the game with one creature, you need to catch another to get past the Jessie and James fight, this was done intentionally to make sure people dont get overleveled on their starter and end up being unable to finish the game because theres no other team members to use!!!
